XV WORLD ROMA CONGRESS

The organization and holding of the World Roma Congress, which will take place in Sofia from October 29 to 31, has been entrusted to "OGI E ROMENGO", with general organizer Toma Nikolaev Mladenov. This decision has been endorsed by Sir Grattan Puxon – the chief secretary and founder of the first World Roma Congress (1971), as well as by the Global Roma Diaspora, uniting over 400 Roma organizations from around the world.

The Congress will be held in partnership with the Global Platform ROMANET, which in the autumn of 2026 will organize the first democratic elections within the framework of the Congress.

The website of Roma Mandate highlights its mission to promote the democratic transformation of the Roma nation. Within the framework of the Congress, a primary focus will be placed on the global situation of the Roma community, as well as on developing effective strategies to strengthen its representation at the international level.
